What we are aiming at

We are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, which is the standard normally applied to business websites in the United States.

What is built in today

• Every page can be reached and used with a keyboard alone, and the focused item is always visibly outlined.
• A skip link jumps straight to the main content.
• Text and background colours are checked for contrast, and the page still works when you enlarge text.
• Booking happens on Google's own appointment page, which Google runs.
• Photographs are marked as decorative so a screen reader does not read them out.
• The whole site is available in English and in Spanish, and the page tells assistive software which language it is in.

What we know is not done

• This site has not yet been audited by an independent accessibility tester.
• Printed forms and PDF documents we hand out in the office are not tagged for screen readers. Ask us and we will read them to you or fill them in with you.
• Third party tools we link to, such as maps and our tax software portal, are outside our control.
